10 of our 20 Tokyo listings close at 24:00 or later — and the list thins out fast after 01:00.
Tokyo's late listings thin out quickly, and where they thin out matters as much as when. The places that keep going past 01:00 are clustered in Shinjuku, close enough together that if you are already there your options stay open; from anywhere else in the city those same places are a taxi ride, because the trains have finished. 4 of these listings close at exactly 24:00 and the rest carry on past it; the table is ordered latest-first, so that split is visible at the top of it.
Format predicts the hour better than the district does. Urisen houses and outcall services are what run late in Tokyo; the massage studios are mostly finished by midnight, because a studio session has a fixed length and a last start time well before the door shuts. If it is already past midnight and you want a massage rather than a bar or a companion, this is usually the page that tells you no.
Outcall is the answer to being in the wrong part of the city. A service that comes to your hotel turns a late night in Shinagawa or Ueno from a logistics problem into a message, and it removes the return journey as well — at that hour, the expensive half. What it needs from you is the hotel name and address in Japanese script and a room number, ready before you write rather than typed while somebody waits.
As everywhere on this site, these are published hours and not availability. A 24:00 close is not a 23:50 start, and a listing that runs to 05:00 is not open at 05:00 — that is the moment it stops. Nothing here runs around the clock, and between the latest close and the earliest opening the following day there is a long stretch with nothing on it at all.
