Without Japanese, start with TAIYO Spa in Honmachi or DAN'S SPACE in Tenma-Ogimachi: both take the booking itself in English and start at ¥10,000. UTATANE in Namba says English is fine, therapist by therapist, from ¥12,000. The other five book in Japanese only — of those, Dolphin in Umeda is the one to know, open 9:00 to 1:00 year-round, earlier and later than anything else in the city.
Osaka has more gay massage studios than Tokyo does — eight against six — and after reading each studio's own rate page we can show a from-price for all eight: ¥10,000 to ¥12,000 for the basic hour, consistently under the ¥11,000–15,000 band most Tokyo studios sit in. Three of the eight handle English — two take the booking itself in English.
Unlike Tokyo, where three of six cluster in Shinjuku, Osaka's eight are genuinely spread out: two in Nakazakicho, two in Namba, and one each in Umeda, Minami-Morimachi, Honmachi and Tenma-Ogimachi. You are unlikely to have two of them within a short walk, so pick by neighbourhood before you pick by shop.
Opening hours are the practical divider. Most publish real clock times; the two therapist-scheduled operations, UTATANE and DAN'S SPACE, do not, and shall states only a latest start of 23:00 because its hours follow whichever therapist is on.
Often, yes — this is one thing Osaka's massage studios do more readily than Tokyo's. Several run both in-studio and outcall service, and shall in Namba actually prices outcall ¥3,000 below the same course in its own room, which is the reverse of the usual pattern. If you would rather not travel, say so when you enquire rather than assuming the studio address is the only option.
Yes. In this category the missing hours usually mean the shop runs on individual therapist availability rather than a fixed shop schedule, so a single opening time would be misleading. You book the therapist, not the slot. It does mean you need to ask, and it does mean same-day is less predictable.
