An urisen (売り専) house is a bar-style shop where you drink with the staff working that night and choose from there, rather than booking a slot. If you only read English, start at a Danshi Gakuen branch that uses the chain's English reservation form — Shinjuku, Ueno, Nagoya or Sapporo — or at Chance in Osaka's Nakazakicho, which publishes its full rates in English. The Namba branch of Danshi Gakuen, Boys Bar SHOOT and Rising Boys book in Japanese only.
Urisen used to be the format with the least published information. We read every house's own rate and hours pages (mostly Japanese-only), so all ten listings here now show opening hours and a real from-price, and the learning curve is smaller than its reputation.
The single most useful fact about this category is how much of it is one chain. Five of the fourteen are Danshi Gakuen branches, in Shinjuku, Ueno, Namba, Nagoya and Sapporo, running the same booking process — and four of the five use the chain's full English mirror site with its English reservation form. The Namba branch is the exception and books in Japanese only, which is worth checking before you assume the brand carries. The Shinjuku flagship runs 13:00 to 5:00; the Namba, Nagoya and Sapporo branches run 13:00 to 1:00; the Ueno branch opens at 13:00 without a fixed closing hour on its staff board.
For English rate-reading before contact, two names stand out: Chance publishes its full rates in English — private room and outcall, separately — and the Danshi Gakuen chain's English course page quotes its standard hour. If the opacity of this category is what puts you off, either is the door in.

They do — usually only in Japanese, which is why we show them on every listing. The houses run closer to bars than to appointment-based studios, so hours tell you when the door opens, not who is working: rosters change nightly, and a message ahead confirms the night's staff rather than reserving anything.
Nine of the fourteen urisen houses we list show English support, so it is workable — but the format asks more of you than a massage booking does, because the evening is conversational by design. Starting at a Danshi Gakuen branch with the English reservation form, or at Chance, rather than at a Japanese-only house, removes most of the difficulty.
Because of how the booking works: you never visit them — they send someone to your hotel. In Japanese, urisen (売り専) is used loosely for any shop where men sell their time to men, so these Shinjuku Ni-chome dispatch houses are called urisen too. We list Shinjuku Dojo, Shinjuku Fragrance, Shinjuku Embrace and An Independence here as well as on the outcall list, with their hours, prices and whether they take English.
