English-Speaking Gay Massage, Urisen & Escorts in Japan: 22 Shops

Not every shop on this site is set up for someone who does not read Japanese, and it is worth knowing that before you start contacting anyone rather than after.

We are not going to guess at why. What we can do is show you the pattern we actually found when we checked all 40 shops in our directory, and where it is strongest and weakest — so you can pick a shop, not just a city.

The type of shop matters more than the city

English support depends more on the type of shop than on where it is: urisen houses and gay massage studios handle English far more often than outcall services, which are the weakest of the three — how the three compare has the numbers by format. "Some English support" is not the same as "an English site"

This is the distinction that matters most, and it is easy to miss if you only glance at a listing.

Of the 40 shops we checked:

The 14-shop figure is much higher than it looks from the outside, and it is the single biggest thing that changed when we re-checked every official site in September 2026: shops that bury an English page one click deep, or run it on a separate subdomain, are easy to miss unless you go looking.

Where a shop has a real English page or booking form, we now link straight to it from its listing. The middle group — English handled over a messaging app rather than a full site — is a genuine "some support" bet: we can only tell you what a shop publishes, not how fluent the person answering is on the night. Treat the language tag as a starting signal, not a guarantee.

The 22 shops, named

Here are both groups in full, each shop linked to its own listing so you can check the language tag, the from-price and the booking channel yourself. The first table is the 14 with a genuine English site; the second is the 8 that handle English through a contact channel instead.

How to read the two tags. English Website means the shop's own site has a real English page and an English booking route we walked end to end — all 14 have one. English OK means the shop states it can handle English, or runs translated pages, without a full English site; only 3 of those 8 have a booking URL you can reach in English, so the gap between the tags is wider than it was when we last counted — for the other five, English happens in a message rather than on a form.

Across both groups, 17 of the 40 shops in the directory give you a booking route you can use without writing Japanese. What neither tag promises is how fluent the person answering is on the night.

To browse them by format instead, filter urisen houses, gay massage studios or outcall services by English support.

Chains that publish in more than one language

A few multi-branch operators are worth knowing about specifically, because the language work is done once and applies across every location.

Danshi Gakuen runs urisen locations in Shinjuku, Ueno, Namba, Nagoya and Sapporo, and publishes both English and Chinese versions of its site. Four of the five are reachable through it. The Namba branch is the exception — it is not on the chain's English reservation route — which is a reminder that one operator across five cities is a good prior, not a guarantee.

College no Ousama (Shinjuku, urisen) is unusual in the other direction: it takes contact over LINE, WhatsApp and WeChat on a single ID, which is rare in a category that otherwise runs on Japanese phone bookings. It is also one of 16 shops in the directory publishing a messaging-app contact at all.

One caution from the re-check: a multilingual banner is not the same as multilingual booking. TOPBOY Tokyo, for instance, shows a "view in your language" widget on its homepage — but that is Google's machine translation, and its actual reservation form is Japanese only. We only tag a shop as English-capable when the booking route itself works in English, which is why TOPBOY is listed as Japanese-only here despite the banner.

What the 18 "no evidence" shops mean in practice

Eighteen of the 40 shops showed nothing in their materials that lets you book in English — no working English page, no messaging-app contact, nothing we could use. That is not the same as saying they will turn a foreign customer away; it means the shop has not published a route we can point you to.

Category availability also depends on the city

English support is one filter. Which category is even available in a given city is another, and the two interact. Across the areas we cover, the category mix looks like this:

A couple of things fall out of this. Tokyo carries real depth in all three categories, so it is where category choice matters most. Osaka leans heavily toward gay massage, three of whose eight studios handle English, so it is workable if that is the format you want — though its urisen and dispatch options are thin. Fukuoka has no urisen listings in our directory at all, so if that is specifically what you are after, Tokyo or Osaka is where to look.

A simple way to filter before you message anyone

Given all of the above, here is the order we would actually use:

1. Start with the category, not the city. Urisen and gay massage have the best English-support rates; outcall dispatch is the one to approach carefully. Chain affiliation does not help here — chains handle English 50% of the time against 58% for independents — so judge the individual shop, not whether it is a chain.
2. Check whether the shop has a genuine English site or just a contact channel. The 14 full-English shops let you book without writing a message in Japanese. The other 8 English-capable shops are a "handle it over a messaging app" bet.
3. If the city narrows your options, check the area breakdown above before assuming a category exists where you are headed — Fukuoka's lack of urisen listings is a good example of why this step matters.
4. For anything in the "no evidence" group, plan for translation help, and use the message templates in our booking guide rather than a bare "do you speak English?"

None of this replaces contacting the shop directly and asking. It just tells you which shops are more likely to have already done that work for you, and which are more likely to need a translated message and a bit of patience. How we checked this. For each of the 40 shops we tried the booking route in English on 20 September 2026 and put it in one of three groups: an English site we could book from end to end, English handled over a messaging app or at the desk, or nothing we could use. A multilingual banner on its own did not count — that is why TOPBOY Tokyo is in the third group. The two shop tables are generated from those same listings, so they change when a shop's tag does.
