Where to start

Without Japanese, start with the three studios that take the booking itself in English — Masotera, SATYROI and Red Line — and choose between them on price and place: SATYROI near Shinjuku-Gyoen is the cheaper at ¥12,000, while Masotera in Shinjuku and Red Line in Shibuya both start at ¥15,000. Aurora Men's Lab says English is fine but has no English booking page. NewRevolution in Ueno is the cheapest of the six at ¥7,000 and TOPBOY starts at ¥11,000, but both book in Japanese only — keep them for when you have our message templates ready.

Gay massage is where most foreign visitors start in Tokyo, and for good reason: it is the category with the fewest unknowns. All six studios publish real opening hours, and after reading each studio's own rate page we can show a from-price for every one of them.

The six sit in four districts. Three are in Shinjuku, with the rest in Shibuya, Shinjuku-Gyoen and Ueno. That spread matters less than it looks — the Shinjuku three are within walking distance of each other, so if your first choice is booked out you have two more within a few minutes.

Four of the six handle English — three take the booking itself in English. Masotera runs a full English site with online reservations and quotes ¥15,000 for 60 minutes before you make contact. Red Line's reservation form is fully bilingual — every field in English — at ¥15,000 for the basic hour (15% surcharge if you pay by card). SATYROI publishes ¥12,000 and takes bookings in English through a contact form, so allow lead time for a reply; Aurora Men's Lab states English is fine at ¥12,000. TOPBOY and NewRevolution are Japanese-only bookings — TOPBOY's multilingual banner is a machine-translation widget, and its reservation form is Japanese.

Questions people ask

If I speak no Japanese at all, which gay massage studio in Tokyo should I contact first?

In order of least friction: Masotera (English site, online booking, price shown), then SATYROI (English booking through a contact form, from ¥12,000), then Red Line (bilingual reservation form), then Aurora Men's Lab (English OK over its own contact routes). Those four cover most first-time bookings. NewRevolution and TOPBOY book in Japanese only — use our message templates if you want to try them anyway.

Do Tokyo's gay massage studios take same-day bookings?

Studios in this category generally work by appointment rather than walk-in, and none of the six Tokyo studios we list publish real-time availability. Treat same-day as possible but not assumable, and message earlier in the day rather than late evening — all six close by midnight.

Is the published price the final price?

Rarely. Nominating a specific therapist usually costs extra, and Masotera states that its courses run to ¥21,000 for 90 minutes and ¥29,000 for 120. Aurora Men's Lab also lists premium rates for individual staff, and Red Line adds 15% for card payment. Ask for the total for your slot rather than the headline rate — our guide to fees explains what gets added.
