Without Japanese, start at a Danshi Gakuen branch — the Shinjuku flagship, open 13:00 to 5:00, or the Ueno branch, which opens at 13:00 — since both use the chain's English reservation form and open at ¥9,000 for a 40-minute light plan. College no Ousama is the gentlest way in: a Ni-chome bar where you drink with the staff first, with a ¥1,700 bar set and English booking forms. JAM, from ¥13,500, also takes bookings in English. Boys Bar SHOOT and Rising Boys book in Japanese only.
Urisen used to be the hardest category to research in Tokyo — most houses publish their rates and hours only in Japanese, buried in a システム page. We read those pages for all six houses, so every listing here now shows opening hours and a real from-price. Read the low end carefully: the Danshi Gakuen price buys a 40-minute light plan rather than a standard hour, and College no Ousama's ¥1,700 is the bar set, not a session.
Geography is simple: nine of the ten are in Shinjuku, clustered in and around Ni-chome, and one is in Ueno. The format is the part to understand. A urisen house is not a studio you book a slot at — you typically drink at the bar first, meet the staff working that night, and decide from there. Prices are course-based once you move past the bar.
Six of the ten handle English, and all six take the booking itself in English. The Danshi Gakuen chain runs a full English mirror site with an English reservation form. College no Ousama runs English booking forms and takes LINE, WhatsApp and WeChat on a single ID. JAM's reservation form is bilingual. Boys Bar SHOOT and Rising Boys are Japanese-only bookings.
Mostly in the neighbourhood around them rather than the system inside. Shinjuku puts you in Ni-chome, runs the larger roster and stays open to 5:00. Ueno is the older, more local urisen district east of the park and reads as quieter; it opens at 13:00, and its staff board runs to 'last' rather than a fixed hour, so ask how late it takes bookings. Both use the same chain booking process — including the English reservation form.
Walk-in is closer to the norm here than in gay massage, which is part of why hours matter more than appointments. All six Tokyo houses we list show hours, but rosters change nightly — a message ahead is less about reserving a slot and more about confirming who is working on the night you plan to go.
Because of how the booking works: you never visit them — they send someone to your hotel. In Japanese, urisen (売り専) is used loosely for any shop where men sell their time to men, so these Shinjuku Ni-chome dispatch houses are called urisen too. We list Shinjuku Dojo, Shinjuku Fragrance, Shinjuku Embrace and An Independence here as well as on the outcall list, with their hours, prices and whether they take English.
